Service Mode Canon NP is used when we reset theError Code, set the paper size (cassette), and even control the heat / temperature in Copiers
I'm sure you already know how to open theService Mode, butnot I wrote something here so that otherscan know, okdo the following:

1. Open the frontdoor of the machine (front cover) and entersomething on the doorswitch actuator forblocking it (usually I use folded paper). # Remember the machine in standby condition.
2. Servie modepress the button ona small hole in the bottom panel. (Use a stick or the like according to the size of the hole)
3. Press (*)key and press tombalfigures, and press return (*) key. (For example: * 1*), then it willappear on the screen display as shown below:
4. Press the <</ >> to select the appropriate screen.
5. Perform adjustment(adjustment) and the examination. To acceptuser data inputmode press the key(*).
6. To close orcomplete the Service Mode;
• Press the Resetkey to ending the current mode.
• Press the Resetkey twice to end the service mode.
• Or the power switch OFFto end the service mode.
